Maybe it already exists but it would be nice to have a tarball with only the jogl2 source available.
If it exists, it should be referenced here:

You can fetch a tar ball via github, ie: https://github.com/sgothel/jogl/tree/v2.0-rc1

However, using git shall be no problem for developer, or is it ?

It is not but I wanted to set the watch system of Debian which informs packagers of a new upstream release (and it is usually based on the "latest" tarballs available on a webpage)
