---- Reported by bombadil 2004-04-22 08:37:35 ---- With new Jogl release there's a 2nd window opened, called "dummy window". Unfortunately under Windows OS this dummy window on the taskbar confuses the user(s), and more: as I report in the thread below, when in dummy window is being maximized per right-click on the taskbar icon - and you never know what your users do - there's no mouse pointer anymore on my Ati card PC: even hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't bring the desktop back: you're lost in ghost space. Until you hit the key to exit your app, in case there is such one. Another (Xith) user made a screenshot of this with his Nvidia card: http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~ehdoty/max.jpg The thread is located here: Javagaming forum, subforum Xith3d, "Changes to match latest JOGL build", http://www.javagaming.org/cgi-bin/JGNetForums/YaBB.cgi? board=xith3d;action=display;num=1082300768 ---- Additional Comments From kbr 2004-04-22 17:04:57 ---- The dummy window is now being disposed of once the necessary OpenGL function pointers have been obtained from the OpenGL context that is created for it. Please reopen the bug or file a new one if problems persist with this new dummy window mechanism. This bug is fixed in 1.1b02. --- Bug imported by sgothel@jausoft.com 2010-03-24 07:46 EDT --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 75 at https://jogl.dev.java.net/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=75
