---- Reported by kbr 2005-06-30 12:28:05 ----

Members of the Swing team at Sun have requested that support be added to the
GLJPanel to allow it to be correctly overlaid on top of other Swing or Java2D
drawing. The code can support this with only very small modifications and it
could be quite useful.

---- Additional Comments From kbr 2005-06-30 12:30:40 ----

Obey setOpaque() when selecting buffered image type. User must still
request alpha bits in the GLCapabilities. Not supported on all
back-end renderers; for example, Microsoft GDI renderer does not
implement alpha bits when rendering to DIB sections. Added examples of
use in JGears and JRefract demos.
