Using the latest GLU implementation (borrowed from LWJGL) gluSphere will now
create spheres with holes in them (alligned with the Z-axis).  The hole's size
depends on the stacks variable (a low number of stacks will yield a large hole,
and a high number of stacks will yield a small hole)  The only workaround I've
seen so far is to increase the # of stacks past 300 which is very slow to render
compared to the 10 I normally use.

This has already been fixed in the CVS repository and in the 1.1 b07 builds just
released.
