This error appears to be due to querying CL_PLATFORM_ICD_SUFFIX_KHR when the cl_khr_icd extension is not supported. Here's the call stack:

Fixed by adding code not to rely on this extension if it's not present. Will submit patch once I've fixed all test bugs on Mac.

Fixes are available now in https://github.com/WadeWalker/jocl/compare/fix_jocl_bugs_959_960_963_964. I still need to test them on Windows and Linux though, so not ready to merge yet.
