20170319 13:14:22 <bruce-> interesting
20170319 13:21:58 <xranby> bruce-: i knew you would like it !
20170319 13:22:23 <xranby> bruce-: seeing that triggers an.. aha moment
20170319 13:25:27 <bruce-> I watched the video, at first when the principles were explained I thought that all makes sense but didn't quite get how an artist would operate with it. the then following tool demonstration was quite convincing
20170319 13:30:50 <xranby> bruce-: i love that many research papers now days come with a working free software implementation
20170319 13:31:10 <bruce-> yes!

20170319 14:20:56 <xranby> when someone can find new ways of thinking.. thats GOLD
20170319 14:22:26 <bruce-> all it needs is an svg/javascript implementation

20170319 19:05:40 <xranby> Eclesia: i found some new topologies of vector graphics for your engine http://www.dalboris.com/research/vgc/ <- Vector Graphics Complexes
20170319 19:05:44 <xranby> http://www.dalboris.com/research/vac/ <- Vector Graphics Animation with Time-Varying Topology
20170319 19:05:57 <Eclesia> S-57 vector format v.3 (1996) already had spaghetti(svg-like), planar-graph (also called chain-node) and full topology models. I believe even older formats had it.
20170319 19:06:43 <Eclesia> xranby: nothing new :)

20170319 19:12:56 <Eclesia> for info : I finished my web assembly coder/decoder, and It's a shame but wasm is useless without JS yet. you can't manipulate a canvas to do GL calls directly. only basic primitives can be passed to/from wasm functions, ints or floats. not objects or even 'string'. that sucks ...
20170319 19:15:29 <xranby> http://www.dalboris.com/research/vgc/dalstein2014pcs.pdf
20170319 19:17:11 <xranby> this is not using planar maps
20170319 19:24:21 * Eclesia is already dealing with Nd complex geometries at work. check ISO 19107 if you want more docs on the subject
