Java 3D provides an high level object oriented sets of APIs to create 3D applications in Java.
Java 3D was initially developed by Sun Microsystems until its version 1.5.1.
The version 1.5.2 was the first community version (which has nothing to do with JogAmp).
The version 1.6 is the first version actively maintained by JogAmp's community and supporting JOGL 2.
The version 1.7 is the next version actively maintained by JogAmp's community, supporting JOGL 2 but not backward compatible as it no longer uses the "javax.media" namespace.
