---- Reported by kbr 2008-01-23 10:21:22 ----

User emzic suggests on http://www.javagaming.org/forums/index.php?topic=18080.0
that there should be a way of disabling the use of vertex arrays and vertex
buffer objects in the TextRenderer to work around driver bugs or performance
problems.

Proposed new TextRenderer from emzic

---- Additional Comments From kbr 2008-02-15 23:47:53 ----

Incorporated patch from emzic, slightly modified, to add
set/getUseVertexArrays() as concession to graphics cards which do not
perform well with small vertex arrays.
