---- Reported by kbr 2006-01-24 08:11:20 ---- Pbuffer support in JOGL seems to be broken on all X11 platforms. The JGears demo shows either garbage or nothing for the OpenGL view. Something must have been broken during the recent code refactoring to make pbuffers and on-screen drawables share the same pixel format selection code path. This issue was reported by Paul Butcher from Advanced System Architectures UK. ---- Additional Comments From kbr 2006-01-24 14:48:00 ---- It turns out that pbuffer support wasn't completely broken, but the GLX_DOUBLEBUFFER bit wasn't being set properly for single-buffered windows and pbuffers, which mattered in particular for the JGears demo (and the GLJPanel) which read back the contents of the front buffer. --- Bug imported by sgothel@jausoft.com 2010-03-24 07:48 EDT --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 195 at https://jogl.dev.java.net/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=195
