JogAmp Fast Media & Processing regardless whether the JVM is slow or not Track: Free Java devroom Room: K.4.401 Day: Sunday Start: 15:20 End: 16:00 https://fosdem.org/2013/schedule/event/jogamp_fast_media_processing/
Hi I won't be able to enable sound with JMonkeyEngine 3 because of the bug 662. How much time will I have to show my few demos (LibGDX, JMonkeyEngine)?

I think you can have up to 15min depending on how many demos we want to show. The audience is developer centric. I suggest that we start the session by focusing the first 10min for a general JogAmp project sideshow talk where we introduce the various components of JogAmp GlueGen, JOGL JOAL Media Processing and JOCL with possibly quick introduction api code sequences with emphasize that these building blocks are great for use to build higher level API engines. Its always good to cover basic pitfalls and good tips like which profile to use in order to cover the devices you want to support, possible mention what we have done internally to make the JogAmp modules more secure and to prevent JVM crashes in end user code. Then i suggest to put a-side a large chunk say two thirds of the session ~30min for demos and attendance input where we demonstrate JOGL, JOCL and higher level frameworks using the JMonkeyEngine 3 and libgdx and of course demonstrate portability of JogAmp application across devices. I plan to run some parts of my presentation implemented as a libgdx ui demonstrations to run on the smaller arm devices. Sven mentioned on IRC that he will be able to demonstrate JOCL OpenCL. Jake2 is of course also nice to show.
